We Believe: The Bible is God’s revelation in time, space, and culture. Encounters with the spatial, historical, cultural, and spiritual world of the Bible answer what the Bible meant as a way for modern readers to understand what it means for us today. Onsite engagement with the world of the Bible excites, encourages, and transforms Bible reading and study. Understanding what the Bible meant can create better followers of Jesus, people who study his words, do them, and teach others what they have learned (Ezra 7:10).

We had a great experience with Marc and team. His insights and contextual analysis was truly outstanding. I recommends this trip highly. The Ezra app will be a huge help going forward in my biblical journey.

An unforgettable journey through sacred history and personal transformation Participating in the "Greece in the Footsteps of Paul" study abroad experience with Regent University and Biblical Expeditions proved deeply transformative, both academically and spiritually. The fellowship was rich, the organization excellent, and the itinerary meaningful. As a Ph.D. student with a concentration in Biblical Studies, I came expecting historical insights. What I encountered was far more—the living resonance of the Gospel in time and space, still echoing through ancient stones. Walking the Via Egnatia in Philippi, standing at the Bema in Corinth, and surveying Athens from atop Mars Hill connected me to Scripture in a profoundly embodied way. Dr. Wood’s scholarly teaching, combined with the contextual knowledge of our archeological guide, Chrisis, illuminated layers of meaning I could not have discovered in the classroom alone. One moment in particular stands out: kneeling by the river where Lydia was baptized, I dipped my hand into the flowing water and felt the weight of history and eternity meet. That same water has flowed for centuries, and in that moment, I touched not just a stream, but a living witness to the gospel’s advance into "the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). I was overcome with awe—not at ruins or relics, but at the ever-active work of the Spirit and the missio Dei (the mission of God). This journey was not tourism—it was a pilgrimage. A journey that deepened my understanding of the New Testament, expanded my academic imagination, and stirred my heart for the ongoing Spirit-empowered redemptive work of Christ in the world. If you’re considering this experience, don’t hesitate. It’s more than a class—it’s a calling to walk where Paul walked and to meet the Spirit of God in the land of the early church.
